UK - Farmers, bankers, processors and supermarkets will all be taking an in-depth look at how the supply chain for red meat can be made more efficient in a conference at Harrogate.

The Northern Red Meat Conference 2004 is to be held at The Pavilions, on the Great Yorkshire Showground, on Thursday October 7.

Speakers will come from all parts of the chain and will include representatives from the Red Meat Industry Forum (RMIF), ASDA, Sainsbury's, NFU, National Pig Association (NPA), HSBC Bank and the Association of Independent Meat Suppliers (AIMS).

Sponsors of the event include the English Beef and Lamb Executive (EBLEX), British Pig Executive (BPEX), RMIF, HSBC, NFU and the Yorkshire Agricultural Society.
