'Improving Your Ability to Compete in the Pork Industry' Available on DVD

NEBRASKA - A University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension DVD series will help pork producers succeed, the Pork Central coordinator said.

University of Nebraska Agricultural Research Division "Improving Your Ability to Compete in the Pork Industry" workshops are now available on DVD, said Al Prosch, Pork Central coordinator.

"The DVD series from the popular workshops will give producers nearly 19 hours of high quality, producer-oriented information," he said.

Advice from pork industry experts includes: production management – from genetics and nutrition to transportation, marketing, risk management, record keeping, country-origin-labeling, revenue insurance, facilities management, price management in and around contracts, quality concerns, retail and processing and more.

Producers can order the DVDs separately for $30 or buy all five programs for $125.
