Relaunch of Defra's BSE site
UK - Following a full review, the BSE (and other Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies) pages of the Defra website have been updated.
This site is an authoritative source of information on BSE which has been in existence since 1996 and much of the information on it had become outdated.
The information it contains has been rationalised, links have been made more straightforward, and a site directory has been added. Much of the information which was becoming outdated or was little used has now been archived but can be made available on request. Data which is now available on other Departments' and Agencies' sites (e.g. the Food Standards Agency, the Department of Health, the Rural Payments Agency) has been removed from the Defra BSE site and instead links have been provided to those sites.
We would very much welcome feedback (both positive and negative) on the style and content of the new site, and we have provided a link to our web team on the home page to make this easier.
