Controls tightened

NORTHERN IRELAND - The Northern Irish agriculture department has tightened up its control measures to prevent animal diseases spreading in the province. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development has issued a reminder to importers and livestock haulers that imported animals must be moved direct to the 'place of destination', as recorded on the Export Health Certificate, immediately after landing in Northern Ireland from Great Britain and E.U. countries.
