Crop, livestock farmers on pace to set record
US - This is shaping up to be the best year ever for the nation's farmers. Thanks in large part to booming demand for pork and other livestock products, farmers' net cash income will hit a record $77.5 billion this year, up more than 13 percent from 2003, the U.S. Agriculture Department said Tuesday.
