JAPAN - Japan has suspended imports of Korean pork; while Russia refuses to accept chicken from Thailand. Japan has temporarily suspended pork imports from South Korea after blood samples from pigs on Jeju Island tested positive for cholera, the Korean Agriculture Ministry said. Park Hyun-chool, director general of the ministry's Livestock Bureau, said the pigs had been vaccinated against the disease and had not been exposed to cholera directly.
