Pig prices continue to stand still
UK - Another week of static pig prices has done little to halt imports, but Christmas should avoid the usual price dip because there is no backlog of animals waiting to hit the market. The GB Euro Deadweight Adjusted Pig Price (DAPP) stood still at 99.92p/kg for pigs traded in the week commencing Dec 13. This price is unlikely to change significantly before the end of the year. The week's average EU mainland pig price was 96p/kg.
