The scheme has met with a mixed reaction and the BPEX survey is aimed at finding out how it is being used by pig producers, how much it costs in different parts of the country and how good the uptake is.

Completing the survey, which can be accessed via a link on the BPEX website, is very easy and will only take a few minutes and is open to producers throughout Great Britain.

BPEX Chief Executive Mick Sloyan said: "The results will be used to improve the collection and disposal of fallen stock for the benefit of pig producers.

"At the end of the survey participants can enter their email addresses and will then be sent the results." The survey can be accessed directly at: www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=4232746901.
