Road to Recovery
UK - For the past three years, British Pig Executive activity has been directed by the Road to Recovery strategy. BPEX has completed a comprehensive review of the plan and produced an updated strategy which builds on the successes of the plan originally launched in 2002.
NPA is active on members' behalf in Brussels & Whitehall, and with processors, supermarkets & caterers - fighting for the growth and pros-perity of the UK pig industry. |
The aim is to enable the England and Wales pig industry to achieve sustainable international competitiveness through reducing production and processing costs and maximising the value of its pork and pork products.
Road to Recovery 2006-2009 is even more focused and carefully targeted to improve returns for the industry and get the maximum value from the levy and focuses on four key areas:
- Improving herd health
- Reducing cost of production
- Increasing industry confidence
- Maximising the value of pork and pork products
At the end of the short document there is feedback page where you can let us know your thoughts and suggestions on the BPEX strategy or comment on any aspects of BPEX activity in general.
Alternatively you can contact either Mick Sloyan or myself direction by clicking on the two photos at the bottom of the feedback form or simply giving us a call.
I hope you will find it of interest and work with BPEX for Prosperous Pig Production and Processing.
