Pork Checkoff Offers Pork Management Conference Your Pork Industry Investment
US - The Pork Checkoff is offering the 2006 Pork Management Conference, Your Pork Industry Investment, formerly the Financial Management Conference, April 2-4, 2006 at the Caribe Royale Resort in Orlando, Fla. This Checkoff-funded event is held every year.
“The Pork Checkoff provides this conference for pork producers, including anyone involved in the management, accounting or finances of an operation, as well as consultants and lenders,“ said Leon Sheets, chairman of the Pork Checkoff’s Producer Services Committee and a pork producer from Ionia, Iowa. “This Checkoff-funded conference offers the most up-to-date financial information that affects the pork industry today.“
During the conference, participants will learn about topics such as U.S. agriculture outlooks, current picture of global meat proteins, economic profitability and more from several pork industry professionals. Three concurrent sessions are planned for Tuesday. Topics include estate planning, producer profitability, producer roundtable accounting, facility costs and values, interest rates and growth of the natural and organic market.
The registration fee for the Pork Management Conference, Your Pork Industry Investment is $395 per person and $435 per person after March 17. This includes the conference with receptions, breakfasts, refreshments and luncheons, as well as a CD-ROM with the proceedings and all handouts.
