Move hog plant to Tuxedo industrial zone: councillor
WINNIPEG - A Winnipeg city councillor says the city should consider relocating the OlyWest hog-processing facility from its current proposed site in east Winnipeg to a similar site in southwest Winnipeg.

Coun. Russ Wyatt, who represents the Transcona ward, near the proposed site for the hog plant, presented a motion at city council late Wednesday to move the plant from the St. Boniface Industrial Park to the Tuxedo Industrial Park.
The move comes after council reaffirmed its support for the plant by voting 10-6 against rescinding an incentive package offered to OlyWest, which included a deal on the St. Boniface land.
