Pig producers seek WTO win
UK - Through the World Trade Organisation accession process, the United States will gain significant new access to Vietnam’s growing market, while Vietnam will gain no greater access to the United States market, making it an undeniable win for American agriculture.

The same thing happened with China. United States agricultural exports soared to 32.8 billion last year, an increase of 174 percent from 2001 when China received WTO membership.
United States pig producers have urged government to support the extending of ‘permanent normal trade relations’ status to Vietnam, as a necessary step in the WTO membership process.
“The agreement will play an important role in our ongoing efforts to expand exports to Asia,“ they said.
