Beef and pork futures increased in early trading on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
October live cattle rose .40 cent to 89.45 cents a pound; October feeder cattle rose .42 cent to $1.1430 a pound; October lean hogs rose .07 cent to 64.25 cents a pound; February pork bellies rose .05 cent to 87.55 cents a pound.
