Dr. Victor Lawrinenko and his brother Mike are building a 1200 head lot about two miles southeast of La Porte City.

The most recent form of opposition came as a flier, placed on the windshields of cars at a church in Waterloo this past weekend. The fliers condems the hog lot and question Dr. Lawrinenko's employer, Covenant Medical Center.

They say the hog lot is a health hazard and a doctor should have no part in building one. Mike Lawrinenko says, "We're just trying to make a living. I know a lot of people jealous, upset, or what-have-you regarding my brother and the fact that he's a successful physician. I'm just a farmer. I don't make a whole lot of money and I'm just trying to raise my family on an agricultural income."
