Tong Park, near Dalby in southern Queensland, farms 73,000 pigs but is struggling with high feed grain prices, pig meat imports, low returns and labour shortages.

Manager Mike Kennedy says grain prices have almost doubled recently and the higher costs cannot be passed on.

"At the moment with the high grain prices caused by the drought it's very difficult for piggeries," he said.
