British genetics promoted in Russia
UK - British genetics will be under the spotlight at Russia’s Agrofarm exhibition next week. Dr Rex Walters will talk about the mapping of the pig genome and Dr Glyn Evans, of BOCM Pauls will cover piglet nutrition.Selecting pigs for optimum feed efficiency and growth will be addressed by ACMC’s Matthew Curtis, and Nick Brookes, of PIC, will talk about selection for disease resistance.
Geert Rombouts, of Rattlerow Seghers will take as his subject “Getting the best of British pig genetics: practical selection of gilts and boars” and Paul Anderson, of JSR, will deal with biotechnology in pig breeding. Organisers: BPEX and BPA.
