Royal Show showground up for sale
UK - The home of the Royal Show is to be put up for sale following a legal challenge that would prevent the 3100m redevelopment of the site at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.

The Royal Agricultural Society of England bought the 240-acre site in 1988 from the Stoneleigh Estate and aimed to redevelop the site into a national and international Centre for Rural Excellence.
But lawyers acting on behalf of a trust set up by the previous owners have highlighted a clause in the original sale agreements that blocks the proposed redevelopment.
Despite lengthy negotiations neither side has been able to reach agreement and the showground will be put up for sale.
