State Govt. bans import of pigs
INDIA - Deputy Commissioner of Kohima Sachopra Vero has reimposed the ban on importing pigs and poultry from Myanmar through Manipur until further order.

The order was reissued on August 27 last following the continous smuggling of pigs and poultry from Myanmar into the state and being sold in the local market at a cheaper price.
