No confidence in Iowa's hog-lot regulations

US - Former US Sen. John Edwards stepped into the hog-confinement controversy by proposing a national moratorium on the building or expanding of livestock-confinement facilities.

Isn't this something that should be left up to Iowa and the Iowa Legislature? It appears that Edwards doesn't have any confidence in Iowa's laws and regulations. This is a slap in the face to our legislators and county governments.

Democrats get accused of wanting too much regulation. Let's not make it true. It looks like Edwards is just trying to get caucus support by getting into an emotional issue.
