China signs quality inspection agreement for Spanish pork imports

BEIJING - China has signed a quality inspection agreement covering Spanish pork imports, officials said.

The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine said the agreement will pave the way for increased imports from Spain.

It did not giver further details.

A rise in food prices, particularly pork, has led to high levels of Chinese inflation in recent months.
