Upgrade and Beat March Switch-Off
UK - Pig producers that use Easicare and HM Boot systems to record herd performance could benefit from an upgrade on offer from Agrosoft. It includes three months no obligation use of the WinPig system and the free transfer of current computer records to the WinPig programme. And producers may be wise to consider it, as the company will no longer offer technical support for the Easicare or Boot programmes after 31 March 2008.
Agrosoft UK Managing Director Stephen Hall said the company has maintained support of DOS programmes for many years, but the reality is that most other industries, companies and home users have moved on to more sophisticated formats such as Windows.
"They provide producers with a far greater range of recording functions and a level of detail and control required for managing a modern pig business," he added. WinPig currently records performance and financial data for more than 40 per cent of the UK's breeding herd. Also, its extensive recording coverage allows producers to actively compare their performance with the largest available data set in the UK.
