RM100m Pig Farm Stays in Sepang
MALAYSIA - Media reports suggest that the 135ha of land for the controversial RM100 million modern pig farm near Sepang, was actually approved by the previous Selangor government approved.Land acquisition for the project in Tumbuk Estate, Kuala Langat began earlier this year.
According to NST Online, the previous administration had approved the land acquisition on Jan 30 under Section 3(1)(a) of the Land Acquisition Act 1960.
The previous executive council had also directed the Kuala Langat district land administrator to give speedy approval for the project. All costs related to land acquisition would be borne by private investors. However, the state government has assured that it will maintain the project's status quo.
