WISCONSIN - The WPA (Wisconsin Pork Association), along with Pork Checkoff, recently announced a 'Community Outreach Program' to help pork producers and local pork organisations in becoming more involved and prominent in their local communities.

The initiative, according to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, offers matching funds for expenses on selected community relations activities. WPA says the purpose of the program is to multiply the positive effects of pork producer involvement in the communities where hogs are raised.

To be eligible, pork producers or county pork producer organizations must fill out a cost share request form and submit it to the WPA at least two weeks prior to the event. They must also submit design ideas to the WPA so that appropriate logos and messages may be included.
