EU Pig Prices: Temporary Seasonal Weakness
EU - This week, the EU slaughter pig market appears to be weak.

The seasonal meat business in Europe presents itself without impulses. There were certain parts that brought price decreases in. The export trade to Eastern Europe could not compensate for this weakness. Consequently, enterprises reacted throughout Europe with declining quotations.
German producers must bear the largest decline in prices with corrected minus 6 cents. This is followed by quotation from the Netherlands. Also, the Spaniards corrected their quotation clearly downward, as did Belgium and Austria. The Danish quotation maintains ground on the last position.
Trend: The slaughter pig offer remains extensive. Whether the price discount can encourage the meat market is yet to be seen.
