After his graduation and promotion at the University of Giessen, Germany, Dr Theobald joined a leading German premix and feed producer. Lately, he has been in charge of DSM's sales and technical marketing of feed additives.

"Initially my main focus will be the distribution of Formi®, a natural growth promoter which is now produced and distributed through the Addcon network. I don't think that there a many feed additives that can prove as impressive its performance as Formi does. In more than 100 feeding trials all around the world, the positive impact of Formi on ADG and FCR has been proven," says Dr Theobald.

Bernd Kochannek, chief executive officer of the Addcon Group of companies agrees. "Trials all over the world show how Formi works in practical circumstances. Its use in sows had a significant positive impact on the weaning weight of piglets. Furthermore, is has been proven that it can reduce E. coli and Salmonella," says Mr. Kochannek.
