DENMARK - The Danish pig herd is nearly eight per cent smaller than it was a year ago.

When viewed against the ten percent fall recorded in summer, this suggests a tentative stabilisation rather than a recovery. Slaughter pigs are down over nine percent, weaners are down 7.6 percent, and there are 6.9 percent fewer piglets coming through.
