EU Pig Prices: Lateral Movement in Markets
EU - The current slaughter pig market appears to be well-shaped.

Due to this, the quotations are moving sideways. In Spain, the slaughter pig price could retrieve a small part of the losses from the previous weeks. Therefore, Spain forms the centre of the European price structure. Because the British Pound is stronger in relation to the previous week in comparison to the euro, the otherwise unchanged British quotation has increased by 2 cents.
The Danish quotation is also maintaining ground, but scarcely before France. The live pig offer is known to be sufficient European-wide. The demand-and-supply relationship is well balanced. Due to smaller proceeds for sections, the Netherlands quotation went down by about 1 cent.
Trend: For the remainder of the year, it is expected that prices will be stable. Fluctuations in exchange rates are not expected.
