China Plans to Purchase Pork for State Reserves
CHINA - On 5 June 2009, the National Development and Reform Commission announced the Government of China is preparing to purchase pork for frozen stocks under the National Swine Price Alert System. Significant pork purchases are considered likely in the near term to boost prices and returns for pork producers.
