Top Speakers Line up for Pork Conference
CHINA - The Fifth IMS World Pork Conference, which takes place in Qingdao, China, will be focusing on the modernisation of the world pork industry.The conference is attract ting a line up of speakers from around the world discussing topics ranging from private and public initiatives to develop pork production and trade to innovations in pork production technology and the safety of pig meat.
Among the speakers taking part on the conference which is backed by the International Meat Secretariat and the China Meat Association are Mr. Joel Haggard, Senior Vice President for the Asia Pacific Region, U.S. Meat Export Federation, who will speak on private and public initiatives to develop pork production and trade in the United States of America and Lars Hinrichsen, Managing director of the Danish Meat Institute who will speak on Technology to Improve Pork Processing.
Other speakers include Sergey Yushin, the Chief of Executive of the National Meat Association (Russia) who will speak on industry and government initiatives to develop Russian pork production and international trade and Brian Evans Executive Vice President of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Delegate of Canada to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), who will speak on "enhancing the safety of pork.
.Dr. Ronan Loftus, the Director Global Commercial Development for IdentiGEN Ltd will speak on modern traceability systems for the pork sector, designed to improve consumer confidence and Mary Ann Binnie, Manager, Nutrition and Food Industry Relations Canadian Pork Council will speak on Health issues influencing pork consumption (with reference to World Cancer Research Fund).
Dr Peter Wilcock, Technical Director of ABN discuss "improving pig feed to make better pork and Jiang Tao, Commercial Director from TNS World Panel China will look at the changing patterns of pork consumption around the world.
Dr. Hermann J. Schlöder , Head of Division Livestock and Meat, Eggs and Poultry of the German Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection will focus on the German market for pork and pork products - recent and future developments driven by consumer requirements.
