Growing Show for the Promising Vietnamese Market
VIET NAM - ILDEX Vietnam 2010 will take place on 25 to 27 March 2010 at The New Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), Phu My Hung, Ho Chi Minh City.Today, Vietnam is one of ASEAN's largest meat processing markets. Owing to rapid growth in local demand for livestock products over the past decades, total meat production has increased from an estimated 2.0 million metric tons in 2000 to 3.3 million metric tons in 2007; an average annual increase of 7.5 per cent. The average annual meat consumption in Vietnam is now about 40 kg per capita. This is above average for Asia, yet is projected to increase to 57 kg per capita by 2020.
In addition to servicing its huge domestic market, Vietnam is gearing towards exports as well. However, to become a major exporter, Vietnam must invest more in technological production – from farming to processing to improving product quality, food safety and environmental standards (in order to justify the stricter requirements of export markets).
"ILDEX Vietnam 2010, the 3rd International Livestock, Dairy, Meat processing and Aquaculture Exhibition will happen between the 25th to 27th of March 2010 at The New Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) Phu My Hung, HCMC in Vietnam. ILDEX Vietnam will surely be the perfect marketplace for Vietnamese producers to search for new technology and business solutions for their future growth," said Ms Ladda Mongkolchaivivat, General Manager, N.C.C. Exhibition Organizer Co. Ltd., ('NEO') the organiser of ILDEX Vietnam 2010 in cooperation with VNU Exhibitions Europe, and Minh Vi Exhibition and Advertising Services (VEAS), its local organizer.
In previous editions, the show set a record of 112 exhibiting companies from 22 countries with 15,000 visitors. For ILDEX Vietnam 2010, the organiser is expecting many more.
Ms Ladda said: "We expect more than 120 companies around the world to take part in ILDEX Vietnam 2010. The exhibition space will be increased by 1,000 square meters due to growing confidence and interest of international exhibitors. Word is out on ILDEX's successful track record and Vietnam's promising future. Because more international technologies are in the offing, the ILDEX exhibition is becoming more and more important for local industries to search for technology and business solutions for immediate procurement and for future investment. We estimate that more than 15,000 trade visitors will participate in 2010."
She stressed that ILDEX's success is due partly to some key differences.
Ms Ladda added: "With the clear concept to bring international expertise to satisfy local needs, we develop the show with a good understanding of international technological trends and how they fit with local needs. This is done through our local and international networks such as VNU Exhibitions Europe from the Netherlands, and Minh Vi Exhibition and Advertising Services (VEAS) of Vietnam. Any company that has the right technology for the Vietnamese market should be at ILDEX Vietnam 2010.
"Finally, in addition to exhibition activities, we also offer value-added services such as the International Meet & Match Program to ensure the successful participation of our exhibitors," she concluded.
