House of Lords Addresses Future of Pig Industry

UK - On Tuesday, 6 April, Members of the House of Lords held a short debate on the future of the pig industry in the United Kingdom.

Lord Palmer opened the debate with a question about the Government's actions to address the "long-term decline of the British pig industry", and Lord Davies of Oldham concluded the debate with a response as the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).

Several peers with experience in agriculture and farming took part in the debate.
