According to Asian Agribiz, domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said pork prices had gone up more than 4 per cent from October last year to MYR 7.60 per kg (USD 2.1).

He said he would meet Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Datuk Seri Noh Omar to urge him to allow the import of frozen pork throughout the year and not just for the Chinese New Year festivities to stabilise prices here.
