New Case of ASF in Russia

RUSSIA - A new case of African Swine Fever (ASF) has been reported in the south-west of the country.

The Russian veterinary authority has sent Follow Up Report No. 25 dated 15 April to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

The report describes one new outbreak of ASF in a herd of 45 village pigs in Persianovka settlement in Rostovskaya oblast, which started on 9 April. Four of the herd were affected, one of which died and the remaining animals were destroyed.
