The Prime Minister stated that affected provinces and cities must strictly ban transportation, slaughtering and selling of pigs in outbreak areas, and spend their budget to control and prevent the spread of the disease.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has dispatched inspection teams to all the affected localities and instructed them on preventive measures, reports Asian Agribiz.

The ministry said PRRS has hit six provinces, namely Hai Duong, Thai Binh, Thai Nguyen, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh and Hai Phong.
