Two New Outbreaks of ASF in Russia

RUSSIA - The Russian veterinary authorities have reported two new outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF).

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 31 on Monday, 21 June. According to the report, the two outbreaks took place on 18 June and 19 June.

In both outbreaks, wild boar (sus scrofa) have been affected. The first outbreak took place in Respublika Adygeya and the second in Krasnodar Krai.

The cause of the outbreak is still under investigation.
