Four More Outbreaks of African Swine Fever

RUSSIA - Four more outbreaks of African swine fever have been reported in domestic pigs and wild boar.

The veterinary authority sent Follow up Report No. 33 dated 15 July to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE). All four outbreaks were in Rostov oblast and started on 7 or 8 July.

Two were in domestic pigs on farms and two were in wild boar in game reserves. In total, 11 wild boar were destroyed and of the 871 domestic pigs affected, eight died and 489 were destroyed.
