Thirteen New ASF Outbreaks in Russia

RUSSIA - The Russia veterinary authorities have reported 13 new outbreaks of African swine fever in the country.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) sent follow-up report no. 40 dated 9 September. According to the report, the affected population comprises swine and wild boar.

A total of 112 cases were identified in swine, and a total 316 were found susceptible. In the case of wild boar, one animal was affected.

The cause of the outbreak is still under investigation.
