Two ASF Outbreaks Reported in Armenia
ARMENIA - Armenia has reported two new outbreaks of African swine fever in wild boar.The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 1 yesterday, 13 September.
According to the report, the affected population consists of feral pigs in a forest, both in Lori. Both outbreaks occured on 30 August. In the first outbreak, 26 cases were identified, out of which 19 deaths occured and seven were destroyed.
In the second outbreak, eight cases were identified, out of which there were three deaths and five animals were destroyed.
The source of the outbreak has not yet been determined, and is still under investigation.
