As of 1 January 2013, all pregnant sows in Europe must be kept in groups. During the intervening period, sow farmers will have a great need for investment and information. New buildings must be able to satisfy this new husbandry requirement.

The BFL (Bauförderung Landwirtschaft – an organisation devoted to promoting agricultural building construction and optimising livestock management conditions) together with the DLG is addressing this pressing topic at EuroTier 2010, and will be showing various technical examples of new husbandry methods in a special ‘Sow well-being – in group housing’ seminar at EuroTier.

At the seminar, reputed experts will be available to answer questions from visitors. With this excellent information programme, the seminar will point the way forward and be highly welcomed by international sow farmers.

Eurotier 2010 will be held at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover, Germany, on 16 to 19 November 2010.
