Seven Cases of ASF Reported in Russia

RUSSIA - The Russian veterinary authorities have reported an outbreak of African swine fever.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 41 on 18 October. According to the report, the outbreak took place in Krasnodar Krai.

The report states that seven animals were infected, and a total of 7128 animals showed signs of susceptibility. 6830 animals were destroyed and 291 were slaughtered.

The source of the outbreak is still under investigation.
