The German Agricultural Society (DLG) has once again set up an impartial and international commission of experts to assess the innovations submitted by EuroTier exhibitors up to the beginning of September on the basis of strict criteria. It has awarded three gold and 18 silver medals.

One of the Silver Medals has been awarded to Big Dutchman Pig Equipment GmbH for its QuigTag.

In the QuigTag method, location signets in the animal housing steer the software in the Smartphone and facilitate navigation in the software. Not only are the animal ear tags read out via the Smartphone but also previously loaded location and action signets/symbols facilitate and accelerate program operation. Entries of actions in the animal housing via keys and touch-screen are reduced. Clear symbols steer data capture without any laborious menu guidance.

This solution promises to facilitate mobile use of other programs too. Simple and well-conceived approach to accelerate the recording of action data in the animal housing.

The Big Dutchman Pig Equipment stand at EuroTier 2010 will be in hall 11, stand D21.

Eurotier 2010 will be held at the Exhibition Grounds in Hanover, Germany, on 16 to 19 November 2010.
