More Classical Swine Fever Detected in Serbia

SERBIA - The Serbian veterinary authorities have reported a new outbreak of classical swine fever.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no.1 yesterday, 29 November.

The outbreak took place at a village in Vojvodina. A total of 56 animals were found susceptible, out of which one was affected by the disease. All 56 animals were euthanised.

The main cause of the outbreak has been identified as contact with wild animal species.

The outbreak was detected on 19 November.
