Nine Classical Swine Fever Cases Reported in Russia

RUSSIA - The Russian veterinary authorities have reported a new outbreak of classical swine fever in wild boar.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 4 yesterday, 21 February. According to the report, the outbreak occurred at a game husbandry in Smolenskaya oblast.

A total of nine cases were reported, wherein 100 per cent mortality rate was observed.

The source of the outbreak remains inconclusive.
