Russia Reports One New Outbreak of ASF

RUSSIA - The Russian veterinary authorities have reported yet another outbreak of African swine fever.

The World Organisation for Animal Health received follow-up report no. 52 on Friday, 11 March. According to the report, the outbreak took place at a village in Krasnodarskiy Kray.

A total of 268 swine were found susceptible to the disease, out of which five cases were reported. Two deaths were recorded, and one animal was destroyed.

The source of the outbreak is still under investigation.
