Tanzania Reports One More Outbreak of ASF

TANZANIA - The Tanzanian veterinary authorities have reported one more outbreak of African swine fever in Mbeya.

The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 2 yesterday, 7 March. The affected population consists of free-range swine.

A total of 78 animals were found susceptible to the disease, out of which 10 cases and 3 deaths were identified.

Illegal movement of animals has been sourced as the main cause of the outbreak.
