Three New Outbreaks of ASF Reported in Russia

RUSSIA - Three new outbreaks of African Swine Fever (ASF) have been reported.

The veterinary authorities sent Follow Up Report No. 54 dated 8 April to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

The report describes three new outbreaks of ASF, which started between 26 March and 3 April. They were in Settlement Voznesenskoye (Krasnodarskiy Kray) and one private subsidiary holding in each of Murmanskaya Oblast and Arkhangelskaya Oblast.

In all, 83 pigs were affected, on which 46 showed symptoms, 41 died and 84 were destroyed, according to the report.
