The conference is suited for anyone in the swine industry whether involved in production or finance. Featured topics include economic trends, risk management, production trends, financial management, legislative issues and implementing the pork industry's 'We Care' initiative on the farm.

"As our industry continues to face challenges such as rising feed costs, this conference will provide the most up-to-date production and financial information to assist pork producers on their farms," said Mary Langhorst, chair of the Checkoff's Producer and State Services Committee and pork producer from Lafayette, Minnesota.

In addition to the general sessions on Wednesday and Thursday mornings, two concurrent sessions are planned for Thursday. Topics include tax updates, financial impact of a PRRS outbreak, time management, hedge accounting and ethics in pork production.

The registration fee for the Pork Management Conference, Your Pork Industry Investment, is $395 per person and $435 per person after 27 May. The first 10 pork producers who have not attended in the past two years receive a $300 discount on registration courtesy of AgStar Financial Services.
