Most inspections were performed together with the Prosecutor's Office for the Voronezh and Volgograd Oblasts. Based on the results of the inspections 40 administrative offence cases were reported.

As the Rosselkhoznadzor, specialists for the Voronezh and Volgograd Oblasts report that the main offences are associated with the absence of conditions necessary to ensure work of closed-type plants, namely:

  • absence of shower and changing facilities;
  • the personnel is not provided with special clothing and footwear;
  • rules of biological waste disposal are not followed;
  • zoosanitary requirements for animal management are not followed;
  • there are no fences that could prevent uncontrollable penetration of animals and people into the plants;
  • there are no accompanying veterinary documents for feeds;
  • there are no necessary conditions for the animal slaughter.

Despite numerous warnings and penalties, some plants keep ignoring the veterinary and sanitary rules, thus, making it impossible to ensure closed-type work at the plants. Indefinite suspension of operations is usually imposed on such establishments. Thus, the court decided to suspend the work of two pig farms of the Voronezh Oblast for 30 days.

Equivalent control measures will be taken.
