June Pork Exports Down Compared to a Month Ago
BRAZIL - The volume of pork exported in June dropped compared to May, and the US$-value was also down.According to the latest figures from ABIPECS, Brazil exported 43,913 tons of pork in June, down by 16.76 per cent compared to the same month the previous year. The total amount of pork exported in 2012 is 268,783 tons, compared to 266,852 tons in 2011, and this was up by 0.72 per cent.
The value of export sales in June was US $108.3 million, down by 28.75 9.27 per cent compared to June 2011. The total value of exports in 2012 till the month of June is US $687.3 million compared to US $735.2 million in 2011.
