Hermitage Genetics Attended Golden Autumn Ag Show

12 November 2012, at 10:25am

RUSSIA - Hermitage Genetics exhibited at the leading annual Russian agricultural show – “Golden Autumn“ in October 2012.

The show was very well attended by existing Russian customers and potential new clients, some from as far away as Yakutia and Sakhalin – close to Vladivostok (an eight hour flight from Moscow) on the Pacific Ocean.

The Russian pig industry is still in a phase of large scale growth and expansion, supported by current strong meat prices for the pig producer. Hermitage Genetics are one of the leading suppliers of high health breeding stock to the Russian market.

On the evening of the 11 October, Hermitage Genetics co-hosted a reception with the Moscow office of Bord Bia, for our key clients and colleagues as guests of His Excellency; Ambassador Philip McDonnagh in the Irish Embassy in Moscow. The event was very well attended with Hermitage customers attending from many different regions of the Russian Federation.

It was a wonderful evening, many of the guests from far and wide were asked to contribute by saying a few words about their companies and plans. This is the second year that we have been actively involved in this Embassy dinner. We would like to thank the ambassador, staff of the embassy and the consular staff, along with the Moscow based Bord Bia and Enterprise Ireland teams for their continued support in this market.
